I'm sure the FreeCAD team can sort out the bugs, the bigger question is if they can make it not as frustrating to use in general, some of the problems are clearly due to their dogmatic approach and unpolished modular system and some hard to solve bug. For professional use I think FreeCAD is a non-starter in its current phase, but if you're just doing this for fun like me then it might not be so unreasonable.
